Ebène, Mauritius – The EDU ABCM Project consortium meeting, taking place from 19 to 24 February 2026 in Mauritius, officially kicked off yesterday and is already progressing very well in hybrid mode, with partners participating both on-site and online. The strong engagement from all partners reflects the shared commitment to advancing the project’s objectives and strengthening collaboration across the consortium.

The meeting began with registration, an overview of the agenda, and initial coordination sessions, setting a productive tone for the week. Early sessions included hands-on training on the EEDA Academy (Learnify) Learning Management System (LMS), with partners actively working on module development using Learnify to enhance and align learning content across institutions.
Technical sessions currently underway and scheduled for the coming days focus on lab booking systems, remote lab development, and challenge development, aimed at strengthening partners’ practical capacities in delivering innovative digital and remote learning experiences. Collaborative working sessions are enabling partners to refine project modules, share best practices, and coordinate implementation strategies.
Later in the week, participants will engage with the University of Mauritius management (MCP/DMCP) and take part in site visits to the Bio Digester Remote Lab and the I-SOL Remote Lab at the University of Mauritius. These visits will provide valuable insights into the practical deployment of remote laboratories and their integration within the EDU ABCM framework.
The meeting will conclude with strategic coordination sessions covering:
-
Status of project activities by Work Package (WP)
-
Planning of upcoming activities by WP
-
Impact and dissemination planning
-
Debriefing and wrap-up session
With strong participation both in-person and online, the Mauritius meeting is already delivering meaningful outcomes and is expected to further accelerate technical development, strengthen collaboration, and align next steps for the successful implementation of the EDU ABCM Project.
