the ongoing projects related to Energy and Education.
- Dissemination of the project
activities, key achievements and progress done
- To allow all parties to ask
clarifying questions pertaining to the projects.
- Showcase and launch the
project websites and distribute project outcomes such as solar maps.
The below projects were presented:
- · Upgrading of Mauritius Solar
Map. The Upgrading of Mauritius Solar Map Project is a collaboration between
the University of Mauritius (UoM) and Central Electricity Board (CEB). It
received grants funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), through the
United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Ministry of Environment,
Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, under the ‘Nationally Appropriate
Mitigation Actions (NAMA) for Low Carbon Island Development Strategy for the
Republic of Mauritius’ project.

Mauritius, Rodrigues and Agaléga. The project for dataset creation and
validation has been funded by the Lacuna Fund. The project represents a
continuation of an ongoing Solar map project for Mauritius and will serve as a
platform where the public in general can have access to high resolution time
series and spatially-resolved solar radiation and PV system performance data.
- · EDU ABCM Capacity Building on Student-Centered Energy Education in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mauritius and Mozambique. The present project aims to contribute to both modernize higher education and mitigate climate effects from energy services.
