The University of Mauritius (UoM) actively participated in the Forum de l’Innovation et de la Recherche held on 28th and 29th January 2025 at the University of Antananarivo, Madagascar. The event brought together leading academic institutions, researchers, and innovators from across the region to exchange ideas and showcase cutting-edge research.  As part of its exhibition, the University of Mauritius presented its Biodigester Living Lab, a pioneering initiative aimed at advancing sustainable energy solutions through bio-waste transformation. The Living Lab serves as a research and innovation hub, integrating various technologies to optimize biodigestion processes and promote renewable energy adoption.  Additionally, the university highlighted the different modules and innovations being developed under the EDU-ABCM  project. These modules focus on advancing bio-circular solutions, fostering interdisciplinary learning, and promoting innovative practices in sustainable waste management and bioenergy.  Through its participation, the University of Mauritius reaffirmed its commitment to fostering regional collaboration, enhancing research excellence, and driving impactful innovations that address pressing environmental and energy challenges.
